my religious belief

my father gave me a dollar to keep in my wallet.

my father told me that if i never spent that dollar,
 i would always have money . . .

for many, many years i believed that dollar to be a lucky charm,
a mojo, an amulet . . .

  a sudden AHA! moment,
and i began to keep other dollars in my wallet.

religion is a lot like my father's advice,
it's not always what it appears to be.
